Saturday mornings, 9:30—11:30am.

The Saturday club is an introduction to cricket with an emphasis on ‘Fun & Enjoyment’ whilst learning the basic skills of the game. They will be coached by experienced level 2 coaches in the areas of:

· Fielding: catching, throwing and stopping the ball.

 

· Batting : the grip, stance and back-lift, hitting the ball and defending your wicket.

 

· Bowling: the basic action, and spin bowling when appropriate.

 

· Wicket Keeping: stopping and catching the ball from the bowler and the fielders.

 

The children will take part in lots of practice drills and small sided games. 

 

Those attending the course will have the opportunity to gain a bronze, silver or gold Kwik Cricket award, and they will receive their certificates and badges at a presentation at the end of each course in December and August.
